At any point in the year, there are always countless things to do in the city, but spring provides perfect weather for getting around the city. Nothing is worse than walking around the city in the brutal winter or taking the subway in the hot, sticky summer. Spring makes the traveling between activities much more enjoyable. But what activities will you do in the city this spring? Here’s a list!
- Macy’s Flower Show
The clothing at Macy’s won’t be the only colorful display this spring! Stop by Macy’s Herald Square to see the beauty and maybe stay for free workshops, like terrarium-making or floral design.
- Cherry Blossom Viewing
At the Brooklyn Botanic Garden from April 1-26, you can enjoy this historic Japanese tradition of viewing cherry blossoms and be reminded of the beauty of life.
- Tribeca Film Festival
From April 15-26, come see filmmakers present their creative work. The festival shows films of all types and also has panel discussions and lectures.
- Earth Day
Celebrate the earth on April 22nd in Central Park. The festival will have singers, performers, and political figures to promote ecology and the conservation of our planet.
- Concerts
Neil Diamond, Paramore, Lee Brice, Bjork, Hozier, Billy Joel, and many more will be performing in the city over the next few months. Spring is the best time of year to see a concert, not too cold and not too hot. Grab tickets soon while they are still reasonably priced!
While you are out and about in the city, be sure to stop into Nirvana for lunch, dinner, or for a drink!
